Keith Campbell Quote

"Cloning may be good and it may be bad. Probably it's a bit of both. The question must not be greeted with reflex hysteria but decided quietly, soberly and on it's own merits. We need less emotion and more thought."Richard Dawkins
This quote shows the two sides to cloning. I believe this could also be used well in design as a design like this topic can have many different interpretations or differing aspects to the design.

Jacques-Yves Costeau Quote

"The happiness of the bee and the dolphin, is to exist. For man it is to know and to wonder at it" Jacques-Yves Costeau
Costeau, Jacques-Yves. (1960), ' Poet of the Depths', Time, (28th March )

Alfred Nobel Quote

“Hope is nature's veil for hiding truth's nakedness." Alfred Nobel
From this quote the idea that I focused on was "hiding" something i believe could be used well in design.

Final Design

Animations

Staircase "Contained"

As the artist enters the stair he is contained in a passage-like casing, where they are completely contained and surrounded by the stair until they reach their destination at the bottom which is the studio. The Soapskin tool was used to create the curved surfaces connecting the two parts of the stairs.

Applied Textures

Applied Texture 1

Applied to this flat surface, this texture, "bumpy", is an attempt to add life to the plane.

Applied Texture 2
The material applied here "jagged" is representing the point at which the "contained" underground studio meets the exhibition area. The studio bursts through the earth leaving a jagged texture around it, this is why it has been applied here.
