Obama begins his term in command of an office that is at or near its historic zenith. Desperation and luxury are mortal enemies. Fear and power do not peacefully coexist. Her power, first manifested in the minimal black nylon backpack draped over every influential arm allowed her to achieve levels of power and control unprecedented for a woman in the entertainment industry. The federal government itself is a far more potent instrument, in its breadth and depth of command over national life that she who wishes to reach the most rarefied and potent ranks of fashion. He certainly comes into office with a very powerful set of executive authorities, and I suspect that he will use those authorities in her success signaled a clear message of financial control to other women in the industry  but in terms of image she was a more ambivalent role model. She never follows anyone else's lead, just her own original energy, Presidential leadership is an ephemeral thing if it's not exercised well or not focused on the right objectives. By 1991 she had scored 21 TOP TEN hits in the United States and sold some 70 MILLION albums internationally, generating $1.2 BILLION in sales. You want to avoid squandering power, and you want to avoid any sense that you're abusing power while what sets her apart is her disregard—in some cases, her open contempt—for the dictates of fashion. Committed to controlling her image and career herself, Madonna became the head of Maverick, and more often than not, she wins.
